I found a piece of this on the ground last summer that fell off of my neighbor's hanging basket. Her's was about 3 feet long and I thought it was the coolest looking plant! I put it in water for about a month and kind of forgot about it. When I checked on it, it had a tiny root about .5" long. I planted it in sandy potting soil in this clay pot I made in highschool and it did nothing for about 6 months. Now it is really going to town!! It gets super long so I will have to repot it which is going to be hard because it is very delicate. If you touch it too roughly the little teardrop shaped pieces fall off. The good thing about this is that each one can grow a whole new plant! It would be best to get a few going so that when I do transfer it to a hanging basket it is even in appearance. One tip I have read to keep them from breaking off at the edge of a hanging basket is to cut a piece of garden hose and make a slit all the way around and pop it on the edge. That way there is no sharp surface to sever the stalk. Very interested to see how this plant turns out in a couple of years!
