Jack in the Pulpit--X-tra Large Size
This is growing in my parent's backyard up against their house! It is probably the biggest one I have ever seen. I have never seen them outside of the woods either, but this area is really shady so that is probably why it likes it there. It has 3 babies next to it already!

Wow...I have never seen this kind of flower before! Must be because it 'belongs' in the woods...and I don't get to walk in woods as much as I'd like to. Hopefully someday, when I am done with college stuff... : )
As always, I enjoy your pics!
Thanks :) These usually grow in bunches on the forest floor. Same as Trilliums, which are actually my favorite flower (after red roses of course!!) Both are protected species I believe.
ahhhh, yes, Trilliums are VERY cool. I learned about those, and saw one for the first time, a few semesters ago when I took a Field Ecology class at school...it was all very interesting, and those flowers - as are these, are very cool : )
